When people live a good life for a long period of time, it's very difficult for them to go back to where it all started. In 2009, when Obama enacted a “holiday” on the payroll tax deduction from employees’ paychecks, dropping the rate from 6.2 percent to 4.2 percent. Since then, we all had enjoyed bigger paychecks, and more money in our pockets. However, the tax relief has just come to an end, and when it finally does, people tend to forget and become surprise, or even upset about it. And the solution for the smaller paycheck in 2013? Spend less. Make more. Save even more. The "holiday" is over.
